Sebastian Paalo is a full-time faculty at the Department of History and Political Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-KNUST (Ghana). He is also the Assistant Director for Research, at the Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA), and a Research Fellow, at the Brew-Hammond Energy Centre, KNUST. Sebastian is a regular partner of the National Peace Council of Ghana in the Ashanti region, and the founding Deputy Director of Democracy Without Borders Ghana Chapter (DWB-Ghana). He has published several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and undertaken policy-oriented engagements on governance, peace and security, and international relations, mainly focusing on the African continent. Besides institutional scholarships for studies, Sebastian has worked on several independent and collaborative projects funded by reputable organisations such as KNUST, the International Peace Research Association Foundation, Chatham House, and the Social Science Research Council (SSRC).
