Marianna Kosharovsky is a lawyer in the Denver area and the Founder and Executive Director of ALIGHT (Alliance to Lead Impact in Global Human Trafficking. ALIGHT exists to Connect, Empower and Build the international anti-trafficking community to more efficiently represent the rights of trafficking victims and survivors. Marianna views law and the legal profession as powerful vehicles for promulgating peace. Prior to Colorado, she worked with the Global Network for Public Interest Law (PILnet) to promote pro bono practices and involve the Russian legal community in the development of a robust civil society. She also served as Professor at Pericles Center for Legal Education, the only US-style LLM program of its kind in the country. She taught US law and the common law system to practicing Russian attorneys during the academic year.
Marianna has won fellowships to work on asylum and refugee law issues in Slovenia and on sex and labor trafficking cases at Sanctuary for Families in New York. She is fluent in Russian and French and proficient in Spanish.
In her free time, Marianna loves to travel and explore Colorado’s famous trails.
